The authors present the analysis of the updates of the Federal Law governing mineral resources management and protection in 2009. These updates are aimed at the improvement of the legal regulation in the area of mineral resources management, levying of royalty, as well as at the perfection of the regulatory and legal framework and the law governing the administrative responsibility for the violations occurring in the area of mineral resources management.
