ПРОСТОЙ СПОСОБ ПРИБЛИЖЕННОЙ ОЦЕНКИ ПРОДУКТИВНОСТИ БАЖЕНИТОВ

In terms of composition and physical properties the rocks of Bazhenov formation differ significantly from typical oil and gas bearing strata, therefore numerous methods of rock investigation used for oil and gas petrophysics and well log interpretation are hardly applicable in this case. The efficiency of typical well log systems and laboratory methods intended for the investigation of rock sections overlying and underlying this formation is not sufficient for the assessment of numerous parameters, which present importance for oil and gas experts. Investigation of bazhenites needs elaboration of new approaches, and development of new research methods. The author offers a method, which seems promising for the well log-based judgment at least on the probable occurrence of pay zones and approximate estimation of the formation total capacity. The method works with the data of standard gamma-ray logging, which correlates with the organic material content within the interval of bituminous sediments of Bazhenov formation, and therefore may be an evidence of oil generating potential, and consequently, of probable productivity of rocks.
